well i used to own a green mk4 some of you will proberly know it

but then sold that and piked up a mk1 caddy

also piked up a mk1 jetta which I've always loved for a project

now I've just baught this little beast off ebay as another project

I'm very pleased with it atm not found a big problems so I'm happy

plans are

60/80 kit

13x7 mattigs

new clutch(this ones buggered)

full head re-built and port and polish

clean the bay

replace all the broken trim e.c.t

hey max, long time no hear. nice to see you are changing your cars pretty frequently but why not buy one car at a time and make it show standard??... afterall the mk4 you originally bought was sweet.. seems that you are going a bit downhill atm... I did like the caddy but it really needed some banded steels to make something special.

mk2s are where it's at...skeen this one on ebay looks nice despite the fact it had a respray...lookin foward to seein it develop, mine going for MOT tomo woop.

yeh i enjoyed the mk4, but want a car which i can enjoy and not worry to much about having to clean every 3 days plus its more fun with more cars

the jetta will one day be to the same standard as the polo I've made good progress with the engine and the caddy is just a 1.6d so its cheep to run and i can lug crap about in it for wrk e.c.t

and I've just baught the polo as its was cheep imo and i can change the clutch and carry out all the work myself and have a very nice little reliable car

plus i have a set of mattigs which came with the caddy just haven't got round to getting them powder coated

Assuming it's a Coupe S (I think it is as I seem to remember it having the badging and the bolstered black and red seats in the ebay pictures), it should have stripes going from the front wing, along the car and curving around the C-pillar. It also seems to be missing its arch and sill trims. That might have suggested a respray. It has a single light grille thouigh which Coupe S's didn't come with .

yeh i looked at where the stripes should ahve been they have been removed for some reason just see the faded paint with a nice clean stripe not very noticable though

and i have all the body kit sill and arch trims just need to put them on someone has removed them aswell grrrrrrrrr

I had a look at that and nearly bought it first time it was on, it's actually fairly tidy for what it is. I only wanted it for parts though so it did more than I wanted to spend both times round.

well my dads royaly pi*said of with me :( got 4 cars atm and two of them are in the newly built garage not to mention the amount of engines wheels and other junk i have in there

might aswell be my garage lol

anyway i took a few pics of it how it is atm

but i did get a few minuites to trial fit the mattigs :-D :-D

13x7's seem to fit perfect might need to be spaced 5mm though for the extra girth lol

The Mattigs are gonna look good on it Always fancied a set myself.

them mattigs look great nice colour too, well will be when polished up.

yeh I've had the mattigs for ages just sat in the loft they came with the caddy but i was going to get the powdercoated so i swaped the tyres

so I'm going to get them acid diped next week

then either

red lips black centres

or

black lips red centres

i carnt decide but I'm slighty towards the red lips black centres as the tyres are black need the red would split it up abit

looking good mate, i can see a little photosession, wen urs and mine are on the road. keep up the progreess mate

well been busy all weekend working on it

completely striped the inside out apart from the dash then cleaned everything and cleaned under the carpets e.c.t and hovered it(dont know why i think i have a car cleaning o.c.d)

cleaned and hoovered all the carpets and got all the dust/dirt out then refited them

hoovered the seats and gave them a good clean apart from the dirvers one as i need a new one

but i didnt take any pics for you lot oops

but i did take one of my clubpolo sticker

i thaught i would do somthing abit creative with it so i choped it up into seperate letters need suck them on the pi*s

looks quite good i.m.o

then i removed the rear lights and gave them a good clean and realised how hidious the reverse light looked and didnt match the other side so i got the red light tint out to match em up

then i decided i would take one of the mattigs into work and fit one of the tyres which ere already on the little polo steels 165/65/13

dont look to bad defo need a lower profile but it will do for now

the i decided to push it out into the daylight and give the roof a good t-cut then clay then t-cut then wax and it came up rather good but i think the roofs been resprayed at some point seem to clean to me for a 1984 car

haahaa and I've taken over the drive way my dad isnt very happy atall

and if anyone has these bits let me know as mine are broken

man your dad must be vexed...this is why I have a unit so they can't keep track.

well just been to halfords need baught some red primerer and mars red 2 paint code la3a

also fitted the rear bench back in last nite and the rear side cards after a good clean

just need to put the drivers seat back i might have a go at sewing it up and stufing abit of rag in the side to make it abit more acceptable!

bloody hell mate, your going all guns blazing with this, i just t-cutted mine on the weekend and i have had it 4 weeks you've had this a week? and your do way more then what i have to mine.

And yes i think you do have car cleaning .o.c.d lol
