Opinions. . . .

Featured Replies

Went to see PoPo's the body shop to get a quote so just need your opinions.

To get my wings fully smoothed loosing all indicators (Bora style)Smooth my boot off completely, take three dents out my rear quater and then obviously paint it all.

Also asked about smoothing my front bumper but he said he couldn't as it was plastic and it would still show an imprint or something!

Well anyways the quote for above was between £500-£600 and I know the quality of work is great.

Is it over priced though?

lol

boys on crack doesnt knwo about plastic welding lol

I'm getting my whole mk5 polo smoothed, arches rolled and bonnet painted for £800

Hmmm, gonna get some more quotes. Its just finding somewhere that is good.

Sooo many places have got bad reps!

cheap as chips but a bosdyshow that can't do bumpers sounds a bit strange :s

I know their work and it is top quality

But smoothing a bumper he said they dont usually, if they get a car in with a damaged bumper the generally replace it.

I did explain how it was done!!

So you think thats a good quote?

Ask the place that done all yours what they would normall charge!

thats the problem with bodyshops nowadays they don't have panal beaters in they just replace panals instead of repair them, personally if the can't repair a panal then how can they do a decent job smoothing out indicators boot etc ?

a bumper is easier to repair than smoothing out a boot etc

i'd look for somewhere that will do everything as you want the same batch of paint and the paint all done at the same time otherwise there will be differences

it's cheap yeah

usual price to smooth and paint a bumper from my guy is £100 - 150
