Model: Polo GT

Engine:

Swapped to a lower mileage item,80k, from a 94 car, carried out these bits before I put it in.

Before I put it in, I changed:

  • Cambelt (again!)
  • Water Pump
  • Sump Gasket
  • Aux Belt
  • Camshaft Oil seal
  • Timing belt cover
  • Rocker cover gasket

  • Oil and filter.
  • Inlet and Exhaust gaskets.
  • Gearbox oil.
  • Engine Mounts
  • Distributor cap
  • HT Leads
  • Rotor arm
  • Earth Straps
  • Spark Plugs
  • Blue Temp Sender
  • Black Temp sender
  • Thermostat

As well as that, engine modifications include:

  • Raceland 4-2-1 Manifold.
  • Decat.
  • Pipercross filter
  • Fahrvergnugen Tuning 7.3k chip.
  • P&P Throttle body waiting to go on.
  • PhilJ straight through mid section, and backbox.
  • De-restitched throttle body elbow

Recently had it RR'd, 85bhp, on shitty asda petrol, tester bet his pension, that It would have been 90bhp on V-Power!

Suspension:

  • Bilstein kit, unsure on height, approx 70mm back, 60mm front.
  • Gladersite ARB blocks.

Brakes:

All new front brakes, consisting of..

  • 256mm Golf 16v Brembo GSF disks.
  • 22mm Master Cylinder
  • Red Dot Pads
  • New fluid
  • New flexis, and front lines.
  • Vauxhall Calibra calipers and carriers, cleaned, painted red, with new bleed nipples.

Rebuild rear drums, with new:

  • Shoes
  • Adjuster wedges
  • Springs

Wheels and Tyres:

MK3 Golf steels, 14/6j ET45. Toyo Proxies 195/45/14. Need some spacers to bring them out a bit. Also looking for some g60 centre caps.

Exterior Styling:

Badgeless grill, clear side repeaters, debadged boot (needs finishing..)

Interior Styling:

Full G40 Interior, Blue led's in dials, Magic tree collection. Also have a 330mm Momo team steering wheel to go on.

ICE and Security:

Alpine CDE-9850 Headunit, Pioneer AS6911 6by9's.

Comments: Bought this GT in January, off some fucker in the dark, and somehow confused a rocker cover gasket leak, with a head gasket, this went so I took it off the road. Decided as it had done 120k, and been driven hard to replace the engine and various bits.

Probably selling it soon, will be 21 in october, so its G40 time!

Cheers guys, yeah will sort out more pictures!

Brakes are off any 16v vauxhall, 91ish onwards, mine were off a calibra, but same as vectras, or cavs etc, got the shoulder bolts from www.wdsltd.co.uk, cost me 11quid.

http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?...=256mm+vauxhall explains all.
