Up for sale is a Polo G40 project.

Sadly my brother has lost all patience with this project decided to buy a corrado.

It is basically all stripped down and the shell in bodyshop but nothing been done on it yet. Have all the panels etc just need a bit of work (one bent three small patches of rust and front slam panel) and fresh new paint but once done prob one of the rarest spec uk polo g40

It’s Grey with factory steel sunroof. H reg

Like mentioned all doors wings etc are there and new slam panel to be welding into place an old one seen better days.

Has been welded on passenger arch for strength.

Has brand new anti roll bar. Also poly bushed.

Has lower front brace

Engine done 120K and charger just been fully rebuilt to full spec by JMR

Gearbox was rebuilt about 5000 miles ago

Interior complete and mint including 60/40 spilt rear seat.

Also have green glass (again factory option) sadly passenger door one broke but it isn’t that much from VW.

It’s got H&R coilovers.

256mm Audi callipers and golf discs.

Has polished P wheels but need refurb from sitting about

Custom Power flow letterbox exhaust system.

Newish petrol tank.

Has alarm and central locking

Also spares it come with

Koni suspension (it looks like it)

G40 standard brake set-up

Another rear axle

Standard BBS’s

Another two seats of glass.

Loads of interior parts

(Basically we broke a g40 a while back and he kept everything just in case)

Ideally he would like £1500 for the lot. In parts your looking well over £2500 for this and once back on the road this spec can fetch up to £4000 or even more to the right buyer as grey ones with factory sunroof and green glass and spilt interior are very rare, well I think I have only seen one other. will add pics later on. Also might swap for the right corrado in that value range.

i think this is a really good price! 1500quid for a FULL set up! including G40 gearbox, block and cylinder head and all the other bits that make a g40...including a genuine shell! this should be snapped up..if this was a little after on i'd be seriosuly interested in this! good luck with the sale sure it will sell more or less straight away!

i think he's just done that to make a point that its all the original parts you need when building a G40, these are also the most expensive parts if you are buying them separately.

thats cool just me being thick lol i thought it was like a secret message thing lol.

well as one person pointed out in e38 the coilovers new buy themself are jsut under £1000 so shows you how much of a bargin it is

hopefully someone with time will buy it :)

your not that far. My brother original G40 came form sheffield and about 3 hour trip going sensible. Just down the M1

Really really interested in this g40 I've been looking for something complete like this for a little while now as I've got a really nice florida mk1 polo waiting for a g40 engine the shame is that i dont have the cash but i do have a 2000 yamaha r6 (fmsh) so i was wondering if you be prepared to do a deal with my r6 for the g40 and bits plus some cash my way?

Heres a corrado for sale on club polo and he wants an r6 :-)
