now the car

The car was first registered on 11th Feb 1972. I am fairly sure it is a 1302s, even though there is no badging. It has the disc brakes up front & a high ratio gearbox. It cruses very well & is very quiet. The 1600cc twin port engine has had a top end rebuild a few months ago. It had new barrels & pistons & the heads were de-coked. It has had all new gaskets & seals so is now oil tight also comes with sports air filter which is not installed. The valve clearances & ignition timing have been set. The engine feels very strong & the twin back box exhaust is nice & quiet but with a subtle sporty note.

Inside the car there is a full set of rare recaro seats, custom door panels & an EMPI trigger quick shifter. There is a small steering wheel too. I fitted a brand new carpet set and sound deadening underneath. The whole of the inside is in very good condition. Everything works on the car & it always starts first time. The freshened up engine has done hardly any miles at all, maybe 300tops, so there is plenty of life left in it.

The car is Tax exempt so there is no fee.

The car has been lowered all round. The car drives & handles great!

The main structure of the car is ok the back part of the chassis is rotten, there has been welding carried out in the past to heater channels & floor pans but will need more done around these areas. There is some cracking to the paintwork in the rain gutters & on the bonnet. There is no rust in these areas though. The bottom of the rear wings has some surface rust & there are a few dents here & there. The front indicators have been relocated lower down & the smoothing of the originals has cracked out too. The doors look ok, & they have the 1 piece windows fitted.I have taken a few photo's to try to show as much as I can. Any inspection or test is welcomed so you can see exactly what you are buying.Also have lots of old mots and reciepts for her
