i have been pulled twice buy police, but no action taken just warnings, i have the wheels off now but thinking of putting them back on, just dont want to push my luck.

they only come out the arch about an inch and tread in under.

any help appreciated, as its vag meet up at ace tomorrow and i want them back on for then

i was under the impression it was legal so long as the tread was under the arch?

my mates mini has 10X7's stick out like a bitch but tread is under so he's all good!!

Someone on Retro-Rides found a section in the constuction and use regs that could be interpretted as 30mm of wheel was allowed to protrude from the arches. Nothing else was mentioned apart from the fact that the tread of the tyre must be covered over a certain % of the tyres circumference.

That implies that 30mm of wheel can poke out of the arches as long as the top however-much of the wheel is covered.

Mine protude the arch a bit and I was pulled last night, got stretch aswell and they didnt question me at all!

I'm picking up some 20mm spacers for the rear tonight!!!
