Yeah there meant to be So So Sticky in the dry - Although won't be abusing the car to find that out with the rims so exposed at the back lol - Still waiting to see what there like in the wet lol.

Not to Sure on the Off sets bud, I got my Bud who does all the work on the car to order them For me - But there 7's at the front Running a 15mm Spacer and are 8's at the back also Running a 15mm Spacer - I wanted 20mm all round but they sent 15 :(

And without meaning to be a stroppy git, why are you running track tyres if you don't drive it hard because the rims are exposed on the back (or whatever you said)? Toyo R888s wear quite fast and aquaplane pretty badly in the wet. They're not really every day tyres. Surely you'd have been better off getting a set of decent road tyres in that size?

Just seems a bit of a waste of money to me. R888s are serious tyres, they're not really for day-to-day use. They'll get you to and from a track, yes they're legal and yes they'll give you lots of grip in the dry, but they're expensive, wear fast and aren't the best in the wet. And when this is a car which doesn't get flung around a road, let alone a track, that just seems a bit of an odd choice. Not my chequebook, not my car, don't really care. You can get better all-round tyres cheaper and have just as much stretch.

It's like having a 400bhp turbocharged engine to go shopping in, and never taking it above 3,000rpm. Why bother when a low powered engine is more economical and much better suited to the role?

Maybe I'm just getting old, and don't understand all of this stuff any more.

Those tyres may "look the nuts", but why not get a proper road tyre instead? In my opinion, this isn't the sort of car that warrants R888s...

i was to busy looking at the sticker on his bonnet to realise what he had done, still didnt notice until you said

no need really buddy lol - Basicly what i done was take two identical pictures of the car, one with Bonnet up and one with it down, used photoshop to cut out the engine bay and paste in into the first layer, Once done Select the Eraser brush make it big and in one swoop delet it lol - then fade it through! If you want take a couple of pics and i'll do it for you, use a decent cam and a tripod!

The wheels are 8x15's rear and 7x15's front with 165/50/15 tyres all round

Nah don't worry about it mate, they were the only tyres i got get in that size unless i was wanting to wait a few weeks while bridgestones in the same size where on back order - and plus i got them for a good price. Plus they do look cool - and i'll be driving more sensibly witht he wheels on lol

Thats Fair Enough Bud, Each to their Own - Yeah they should really be put on a rim and not streched - But you could say the same about any tyre, and also they are Road Legal, so i'm assuming have to pass some standard to get that Credit. But Each Person has there Own Opinion - I respect that!

I think most people who winge about stretching tyres a lot don't understand how well engineered they are to be used above there 'safe limit'.
