No probs with stretched tyres, they're not for me but I've been around the Ring as a passenger on stretched tyres and they're fine. It's just semi-slicks that never see a track I'm not fussed on. It's like keeping a bird in a cage! Not my car though, or my money, so it's not up to me.

with referemce to you are HDR photo - its meant to show details/ tonal range better- ie no blown out white areas or darker areas .

Again thats fair enough Mate - The polo will never see a track with they tyres. I'm not really that fussed, I don't expect everyone to like it mate or the tryres, You take the good with the bad!

That was my first one - i used a piece of software called Photomatix and that done the merge, Looks much better than a standard Photo tho lol

lol no probs - I'm a professional freelance photographer see - just pic up on things people do and say - usually i hold myself back haha

Looks proper mint. Tyres look sweet as, and that stretch is pretty intense!

The problem with stretching track biased tyres is that they usually have VERY stiff sidewalls to resist being stretched out of shape. This means that when you stretch them onto a wide rim they are canstantly trying to pop back off the bead.

Car is beautiful m8, realy good look going on there but seriously be careful with those tyres in the wet, I've droiven a car with em on in the wet and believe me it was scary as fook, could not get traction for the love of money ! Btw i think you can get toyo proxes T1-R's in that size and there amazing whatever the weather but still wear pretty fast though.

Lovely colour that....bit of a false economy getting the R888's. Apparently they start with less tread than your average road tyre...I think I was told 5mm opposed to 7-8mm for a road tyre. That means you've got less rubber to start with and they wear faster. You'll prob. end up needing a new set much much sooner than you would with a road tyre.

The R888 is used by some as their wet weather track tyres...so whilst not as good as a conventional road tyre you should still be able to use them safely on the road. I'd tip toe around in heavy rain though.

Not a fan of silly stretch at the best of times (a little can be nice) ... doing it with a track tyre just seems irish.
