Hi dudes I'm new to this game have mk2 polo cx with 14" pirellis having some problems with tyres scuffing, its not lowered it has standard suspension set up, what sort of profile tyre should i be looking at to stop the rubbing at what sort of price?

165/60, 165/55 for around 30 each, or 195/45, 185/50s if you have up to 50 per tyre to spend

and if i wanted to drop it in the future say 40mm all round????

no mate its coupe, and the rubbings front and rear I'm not sure of the actual tyre profile but they must of come off a big foot the slightest bump makes em rub!!!! :-D

must be huger as i run 185 60 r14 on mine and when i was standard no rubbing, went 40 40 had to roll and falre rear arches(breadvan shape) and when i went lower front had to roll lip on wing

165,55 or 155,55.

I've lowered my 'loon 80/60, and have shod it in 195/50' (i think, they may be 45's!) with my 14" P-slots with no rubbing issue, but it's close as a gnat's bollock!

cheers dudes!!! I'm on the case may go for the lower profile 195/45s jus incase temptation does the get the better of me and shes droped lower than a snakes belly
