hi just got me a tidy cl with an even tidyer gt conversion off a lad called steve on here so i thought i would chuck a few pics up

some of you may know the car so if you have any info about it let me know :thumbsup:

going to do a few bits and bobs [interior for now] then see were the car ends up but after having loads of golfs mk1s/2s corrados etc this is right up there well pleased with it. :-D 8-)

this is an absolute fookin minter pal...i know the lad who did the conversion,johnny,he's a mate of mine from college,its got my old exhaust on it and my old door cards i think...if there still in it...bodywork is mint on it,best paint i think I've seen on a car that old...or a polo for that matter...look after it mate...

cheers mate its got corrodo front seats in it now just trying to find a rear bench to match they suit the car so much. exhaust wise its running a cherry bomb your old one???!!dont know on the door cards!!!

bodywork is tidy i wouldnt say mint there is a few bits that need sorting but one the whole its very tidy for its age chuffed with it proper bargain:-D

The black wheels look mean, great paintwork and I like how it's sitting.

cheers guys just ordered some good wax so the plan for the weekend is a major clean so i will get some better pics up :smile:

looking nice, whells look ace on it. have you got a breather fitted to the mk4 cam cover? if not i would think about fitting one as you might find your engine oil trying to escape out of your dipstick due to pressure built up

as in where the breather goes! :-)

on the original gt cam cover there is a little pipe on the top that a breather hose connects to.

cant spot a breather pipe that should go to the cam cover any idea where it should be??

thats a mk4 camcover doesnt have a breather on it. cheers anyway :-D

what i am looking for is the pipe that goes onto the mk3 gt camcover?? :?

That paintwork is excellent. I thought my old mk3 had amazing paintwork, but this ranks higher. I am pleased to see that the effort has been gone into cleaning the engine bay too. Nice car.

cheers mate but i cant take all the credit it was pretty clean when i got it allthough i have spent a few hours getting the bay back up to scratch a full weekend spent on the rest is forecast lol :-D
