some advice plz

i want some g60 steels but i cant fit 15" g60 steels under my car i have been told you can get 14" g60 steels but some people say you cant?

if you can get 14" g60 does anyone know a part number for them or where i can them from?

there are 14"inch wheels that look similar to g60's, but arent g60's. normally found on mk3 golfs and ventos. keep an eye out for the offset aswell, no more than 38.

There is someone on here with G60s on a white mk2 square. So it is possible to put them on. There not that wide or silly offset tbh.

yeah i know my m8s got them on his but i got 70-70 drop on mine and they will scrub bady and thanks for taking mi sec post off i couldnt do it.

they wont scrub at all if you use the correct size tyres, they are only 6j wide so you can run 165/50 or 165/45s no probs

what tyres is your mate running?

me and dan lowered his polo by 80mm and then fitted 7x15 et28 ronal turbos with 195/50/15's (which have no stretch and are far to wide)

the only problem was that the rears were scrubbing when it had more then 2 people in it because of the et28 and the huge tyres.

just get the 15's with 165/50/15's and it will be fine.

also you should consider that if it aint scrubin you aint dubbin!!

lol good point but i do want 2 get 4 people in my car, my mates got 195/45/15's i think and the back scrub with people in it and fronts scrub under braking? lol

I've just bought some 14" G60 style steels, they were decribed as mk2 golf GTI steel

yeah sort of any steels that look good do you know where i can get some weller steels i looked on there web site but i couldnt find the same stud patten or some Mattig steels i cant find anythink

Just to save confusion - G60 steelies ONLY came in 15", any other wheels that look similar are just steel wheels with little holes round the edge (mk2 golf gti, vento steelies etc)

I've got the 14x6 inch mk2 gti steelies on my nova

I`ll get the part number of them for you tomorrow. Although it would be cheaper to just keep an eye on ebizzle and the clasifieds on elition38

i have Mk2 Golf driver steelies (the ones that look similar to G60's) and used VW Polo Caddy centre caps to give the appearance of G60's

oh and I'm running 165/60r14's so no scrubbing issues at all

Whick G60 steel is it you want the look of?

there have been 2 styles avaliable.. originallyt with O shaped holes and later they were replaced with D shaped holes (iirc)

the 14's that look like the O shaped wheels are Mk2 Golf Driver steels and the 14's that have the D shaped holes are from Mk3 Golf/Vento
