Hi all, eventually got round to putting a pic of my little beast on here, should of given her a bit of a clean first but i just wanted to get it up and see what people thought of her.

1 lady owner from new, 47K genuine miles on the clock, FVWSH think it was quite a bargin for 450 squid! (even haggled lol)

I'm very keen on modding her but dont really know where to start, i was thinking probably alloys first and lowering. Iv'e looked around for some alloys, save on tires gave me the best price £295 for some BK 14's (smallest they do) on budget tires. But i would prefer to have some original vdub whees for her but cant seem to find any.

If anyone has any parts or mods that might be suitable id be very grateful

love it mate, as for wheels try loking on here or ebay if you know a specific wheel you like, or edition38. all dencet sites and areas for rims. and love tblack squares theers just something about them i love :p

Just be careful which wheels you chose cause the back arches on a square aren't to accommodating as standard.

And Stoke, wait a while before you get alloys mate... There are plenty of folks who join up here, buy a new set of rims from halfords and then realise they should have waited cause they find something unusual/interesting on here that they never new existed!!! For £300 you could get some really, really nice wheels on that square.

Have a look through the mk3 section of the photo gallery for inspiration, theres everything from 13x6 ATS classics to some silly wide wheels in there... Have a look and find something you really like, then look for them at a bargainous price!! No point rushing into it until you're sure you know exactly what you want. My advice would be to avoid the BK wheels (burger king?!!) and look at something like the older ATS classics off an opel manta. BBS RA's also look awesome on mk3 squares...

I would advise lowering the monster first though!!!

i have herd its better to choose the wheels first then lower so you know how far you can go

A couple of things done...just waiting for some sweet RA's ATM, looks abit better i think.

RA's are really nice wheels imo, and the square is definitely coming along! once you got them on and a little touch with the lowering stick that'll be a real tidy motor

How low can i go u reckon? dont really wanna do arch work.

depends on the driver, most people on here would say all the way down so a 80/80 kit with lowering top caps and low pros, which you could probably get away with as you have ra's but personally i would say a 60/60 kit to keep it practical

hey mate, i got a mk3 breadvan with 13" bbs ra's on aswell, but mine rubs standard height lol, I've got 185/55/r13's

I've been told 175/60/r13's would be alright, and I'm also looking at the 60/40 kit lol :)

Right......these are some of the bits and pieces i want to get sorted and will try and keep updates

- Get some decent pics of the car

- Rocker cover sand blasted and repainted

- Sort out the crappy looking rear quater and roofsky

Ok, so i decided to have a good 'look' at this doggy repair.....

it appears to be worse than i thought

then i thought id try and get rid of some of the filler in the repair

then i even found some under where the rubbing strip goes?

left it at this for today, will try and continue tomorrow

there are so many small dents in such a small area on the arch, I'm not sure if its double skinned so riveting and slide hammering may be the way forward..... :)
