Yes I have had the coolant up to temp and bled it with the heater at full but maybe have not squeezed the top hose enough to completely eliminate air so I'll get on to that tomorrow...

As I said where are you at with this guide or is it just going to be in the year book?

Made sure there was no air block in the coolant cheers.

I now understand the three adjustments- Fuel mixture, idle and choke.I found this other thread which helped a lot:-

I'll do a few more miles and check the spark plugs and establish what jets I have(still not sure how to tell) I'm sure they will be the standard ones for the carb. Other than that I need to get some pictures up.

It's not gonna be in the yearbook, no point when I could put the guide up on here with full size pictures and all the space needed.

I've just got to do one little errand more then I'm gonna work on the in's and out's whilst my DMTR is still with me.

macoll...take each jet out and look for a number etched on it, you might need a magniflying glass

and some off them are 3 pieces pushed together , so take em apart and note the numbers

I've took an arseload of pictures to supplement the servicing picture compilation, I'll be working on the guide tommorow. It's really just a walkthrough - beginner's guide more than anything, but should answer almost all questions normally asked, especially if Gaz, Hypojam and Steve here chip in on any gaps.

I've got another set of dials coming...i could snap some pics for a choke light how to as well if you want as i have the vag cable on mine now
