Right I will first of all explain the story of how it started, which may help with fault finiding.

I was outside cleaning the car properly for quite a while, and was listening to music while I was cleaning. I didn't realise the music had stopped for quite a while since it was already on a low volume. I then tried to start the car up and the battery was completely dead! i mean completely, i twisted the key and wouldn't do anything, so we push started it. After it started up i saw the symbol for the ECU being reset etc, all my stereo settings were lost etc..

Since then I have been getting this annoying buzzing from my components, whenever the car is ON, when OFF there is no buzzing at all. I then proceeded to test the amp and played something from my phone, which was fine without any buzzing. When you disconnect the RCA's the buzzing stops. The RCA's already run down a different side of the car to the power cables.

I have followed this guide, and according to the guide it is the headunit. But I'm thinking how can it be the headunit if it plays completely fine when the car is off?

I would greatly appreciate some help, as it just driving me nuts now.

Will have a look at it again, someone has suggested the earth track within the headunit too, so going to try a different headunit, see if that makes a difference
