mk4 golf GT Tdi...110-150bhp...??!?!?

Featured Replies

just after sum info... it looks like the gt may have to make way for a mile monkey... thinkin off a mk4 GT TDI... now 110's go real cheap but obviously a 150's got a lot more umphhh!!! something the G40 n tuned gt has got me used to!

the insurance is better on the 110 n like i said cheaper to buy to start with...

so what i want to know is how much difference is there between the engines? will a chip do the job to see 150 or is it a bigger turbo etc..?

thinkin the mk4 cus just see a set of coilies set of ac schnitzer 19's tints n black vw badges hopefully on a met grey car... maybe smooth door strip etc when funds provide...

my mate had a 100 PD Tdi golf and he could of got that re-mapped just short of 150 so i think a 110 model should get to it

best bet is to look on custom code and Revo websites and just do a bit of research and see what you find !!!

wicked stuff.... will check out there sites...

neone done it?

i have one as my daily and its wicked, heated cream leather, climate, electric everything, 550miles per tank.....will be selling it soon though to make way for company car!

lardy can get better for money :)

Just get a Leon Cupra FR, much better looking and 170 bhp iirc?

I had a seat ibiza pd130, i took it to my nearest REVO teknik dealer, and £500 down and 5 minutes later i was driving away with 169.5bhp and 321ftlb of torque!!!

the torque on these cars are just immense, puts you into the back of your seat, and thats a safe style of tuning.

a lot lot more can be had out of them by means of front mounted intercooler, bigger tourbo, bigger injectors etc etc etc and you can be having 300bhp out of these after spending some serious cash....

oh and once mine had been revod, the insurance went up by about £100(for a group 8 car) so not bad really! oh yeah, and 9 months later i was getting 2 new front tyres after spinning the wheels in 6th gear on the motorway haha

Would love either a ibiza or loen cupra fr!

Seriously considering selling the polo for one!

I completely hated getting rid of my ibiza tdi 130, was such an amazing car, cheap to run, insure etc etc, but due to my job going under and being seriopusly ill it had to go.......

amazing cars though with the VAG build quality to go with it

flabia vrs for me....cheaper that the VW badge

tho the 9n polo GT is a nice motor

hummm all sound tempting... i always liked the robustness of a mk4 thou... seem to be able to look really wide with little work!

seems it might be off now... and buying a house might be in instead... but also potentially some storage space at work so sumthin cheap may hav to be thrown in there as a project... and hopefully keep Relaxi Taxi and the G aswel! Winner all round well apart from the fact of losing my missus making this possible... hummm....

good old vag will always stand by me haha!
