Yo , i got pulled by police the other day for my front tints , i didnt know they were ment to allow a certain percentage of light through...70% thats what they said, they tested it with the machine thing they have, and it read 18% lol

so i gots to take em out...i just wanted to know whats the best way ? any special tricks? or just rip it out one time ! haha, and after the film is off would i clean the window with terps or owt ?

any suggestions will be great ...i just know how to fit em lol not to pull em out !

hmm well on my first set i peeled the top al the way across and gently pull so it all comes off in one, much easier. or start in a corner and go down diagonally. i used thinners to clean the glass after to get the tinting glue off (just a little bit though) then clean with warm water.

might be easier to remove them if they were heated??

get a pick up of your front ones, i want to see how much darker they are compared to mine cos mine are light smoke on front, might even be medium, but I've got limo on back so it makes them all look darker anyway

Cheers man, yeah i didnt tint the back window as it was too much of a mission....i think thats why iv got away with it for so long ...2 years lol !

well i got pulled on M62 !! lol they were just waiting to pull some1 for something as they were going slow like 55-60, i just was in far right lane minding my own business doing 70.....bang they spotted me straight off no messing around got behind me and flashed me......pulled over and said my tints seem to dark but will test it........ took 2 reading both about 18% then he said if it was below 15% id get 6 points and car would be marked as not fit I'm guessing 3 points for each front window. dunno he might of just been shitting me lol who knows

they said i got 2 options get a fine of 30 quid or dont get a fine take em out and find a garage with the same machine to test it then i gotta pay the garage ! then get a certificate and show it to police....i wanted to rip em out then but it was way to fucked up raining and on M62 ! so i said i didnt know but yeah the fine will do.....he never actually said u better take em out tho lol ahh well

you can have the back windows as dark as you like. but now its nothing infront of the A pillar. but 6 points how can that be fare !! its a fucking joke tbh. i can see perfectly out of mine and i can see better with then during the day when its sunny cos i dont get blinded.

nice one :-) some1 from my college tried tinting his back 3 windows, the side ones went ok but his back window is curved and he said it was a bitch to do, gave up in the end and now only has the 2 side ones.

yeah i dint actually attempt the back lol .....now i just have the back 2 windows tinted.....doesnt look to bad to be honest still looks a bit dark in the car but noooo way as much as it was .....kinda liked the tinted the front ones

i got caught tonight with my front 1's they read 35% had to be 75% or over. I'm propa gutted. i wasnt even gunna go out tonight, wish i just stopped in. I got an on the spot £30 with has to be paid and have to remove them A.S.A.P. But i couldnt get caught again with them all 2nyt, so i drove around with windows up to get the last few mins of the tinted glory. the cops just looked at me when i drove past them LOL. there was atleast 10+ cars that got caught tonight aswel for tints. The bastards!!

Was thinking about not taking them off. but its another £30 and 3 points so its not worth it really, especially cos the max your allowed for new drivers is 6 in 2 years. so looks like I'm gunna e busy tomorrow

Steam cleaner works well for getting them off.

End of the day, windows are for looking out of.

i couldnt believe it when i got stopped. my windows were down and theyasked me to put them up (but i thought they werent allowed to ask you to put them up if they are down). they werent doing it to all the cars just random ones, but i think i got stopped for i have my back ones canny dark. the other cars that never got asked didnt have tints at all. to me letting 35% light in isnt dark, i can see perfect out of them, i even told them that , but they said if i wanted to argue i had to take it to court. BASRTARDS. i know its just tints, but i liked them and spent my own money on them + I've only had them a few month.

well they are now off but i put the film to good use and tinted my back indicators

but the glue wont come of with thinners not matter how much i use its just smudging the glue + I'm getting a headache lol, anyone got any ideas??

i could see perfectly fine out them, during the day and at night. They werent limo tints (which will be dangerous) mine were only smoked.
