where can i get my openair roof retrimmed from? is it something i can do myself? how much does it roughly cost?

a friend of mine is in the same position, luckily mines mint :), but i think he found one on ebay and is getting that fitted. hope that helps

stevens vw dismantlers! search for it on google

i thought it looks like a big job but its vvvv easy.

get the headlining out (all trim bits off, visors, handles, light etc then pull out)

loadsssss of torx bit screws then a metal securing thing will drop down (you will know what i mean after you get head lining out)

then unplug and remove roof motor (two cross head screws)

then stand crouched over on the front two seats with your back up against the roof then PUSH and it will pop out then just get a mate to give you a hand lifting it off (assuming you have one that is lol)

Replacing it is the repeat of removal as they say

hope its of help as when i was looking for a guide no 1 had any real idea.

They charged me £150 and it was an absolutly mint one!
