Those look sweet and are in great proportion, look like a sized down set of 15" RAs as per runout mk.2 Golf. 195/45R14 Toyo T1-Rs are going to grip superbly with the light weight of the Polo. £47 a tyre on Camskill too so pretty good VFM.

No! 13'' are great 7'' wide or more with an 80mm drop. Gives the car a proper stance.

Yeah go 80mm down on 13's, then when you get to a speed bump turn around because you won't get over it. Or try and go over it and smash your sump / exhaust / sills / floor / gearbox

I can fully assure you mate (mk2 rowdy) if you go too low you will regret it. I liked it at first but I'm sick of it now, its just not practical or good for the car AND say goodbye to any handling at 80mm!!! The cars geomety totally fucked.

And before anyone says

"I'm 80mm down on 13's and i can get around just fine" Bullshit, I'm only 60mm down and the zorst scrapes badly even on small speed bumps.

Are you sure you don't just need to sort out your exhaust? I had problems with my cup car kit in that it was to low and harsh that the exhaust just kept getting shaken off. Next cat back exhaust, new clamps and hangers and it never fell off once. Sat really nice and tight up against the chassis as well. I had about 3 exhaust on the car and the only one that worked out well for me was a stock VAG system.

If your exhaust is scraping badly at 60mm on small speed bumps then there is definitely something wrong with your car.

Forgot about this thread, the exhaust isnt really an issue, it carnt be any higher without knocking on the body - I'm all for going 60/40 down but i just think its better with 14" wheels for actually driving the car on a range of roads. People can say they dont have problems with 80mm down on 13's all day long but it depends what type of roads they drive on and if they can be arsed crawling around town, i didnt used to mind but i would much rather have better clearence now so i can get around quicker and use the car more.

I can't understand how it's "bullshit" My mk 3 is my daily, it's lowered 80mm on a philj kit and ats classics. And again as is mentioned above, the only thing i've ever scraped is my side exit.

Also like to add, i live is Glasgow and out speed bumps/road conditions are ten times worse than that of the most places down south.

I wasnt saying its impossible to use the car being that low but i would like to see you pushing the car on dips and tight bends in the peak district or the sort of roads Tav has taken pictures of.

As Tav said his mate catches his cat brace bar on the low points when going down steep hills at speed and he isnt as low as 80mm, so 80mm not exactly for best performance which is what i was commenting on more then anything.
