thank you mate, yea ill be at UD next year, unfortunatley i missed it this year as i hadnt taken delivery of the ibiza and was somewhat carless lol

yea, I've always liked the subtle approach, the rubstrips would have been off ages ago but they're not like the polo/lupo the ibiza has locator holes behind them so I'm in the process of gettin the car booked into a B/S to get them welded up

The strips break it up a little bit thought which again works.. what style are u trying to go for ? smooth ?

not so smooth as going into the bumpers/roof ariel etc dont really like the strips on i think they look odd...the dont even do they're job properly anyway (not at widest part of the door lol) I'm not after any particular style, just going with the flow and see how it turns out

the polo 9n gti tartan interior and headlining will be a sort of nu-skool take on the old tartan interiors, which should tie in decent with the rest of the car as the schmidts are pretty cult wheels i guess you could say its new car meets cult styling, not sure where the polished bonnet fits in tho, its sort of beautified-rat without the damaged look :)

Just wondering why people are saying it should be at UD that is all .

its not all about what your car has.....or what 'mods' it has IMO

some of the best dubs i have seen have been very near to OEM :)

Iff i walk into vw buy a mk5 golf gti and put some wheels on it could i go to UD ?

Iff i restore a mk1 golf to perfect factory and its mint i deserve to go to UD .

I do like OEM+ its a nice style to go for . Nothing to Over the top .

and yes theres more respect in restoring the likes of mk1polo/A50 from wreck to showroom condition, but at the end of the day does it matter if its at a show?

i think your tarring all new vag owners with the same brush(unless of course theyve had 50K spent on them) and that UD should be open only to heavily modified or OEM rebuilds...

remeber ALL cars start out as standard......and i plan to keep mine pretty much this way apart from some oem+ from the vw parts bin and the likes

NICE! i saw a red cupra today on the preston m61 motorway on some shexy wide rims no dish but a fair amount of stretch and mmmm i love them! sexy cars! them pics of yorsu are amazin mate, love the seethrough car shot. was that taken with a tripod with out the car there and then same shot with the car in? then the two layers moreged and translucity changed?

not sure friend, the camera was on a tripod i know that lol johnston took a shot i moved the car and took another shot then i think it was edited in photoshop....
