TT Seat Subframes, straight into polo

Featured Replies

I've been toying with the idea of making a few sets of subframes to sell.

Basically, they enable you to mount TT Seats straight "bolt in" to your 9n or 9n3, ibiza, fabia at first and then possibly 6n, 6n2 frames could be designed later.

Would there be any interest in these or am I wasting my time?

Bearing in mind these are very high quality items and you can't even tell they're there when they're in the car, they have shamfered edges and are painted satin black.

Here's a pic of the seats in the car, I'll post up pics of the subframes if there's any interest later on (car needs hoovering!)

Basically the frames bolt into the seat, then the full assembly bolts into the car.

They've been designed and made by my dad who's a qualified fabricator and has worked with metal for over 30 years.

These also elliminate the lowness of the TT seats and mount them at the standard polo seat height and are of course fully adjustable using the tt adjusters and runners, so they go front / back and up / down. I'm guessing people are wanting more pics? I'll take some later on when the interior's clean.

Aye that sounds good to me. PM me a price mate

One last question, whats involved in attaching the new frames?

As in what will I need to remove from my TT's?

Or do the frames attach to the bottom of the TT runners then use the existing bolt/fixing points on the chassis of the car?

4 nuts and bolts (Will be included), to attach the brackets to the runners (TT Runners are used), then your standard bolts to attach them to the car.

I'm still in discussions with steel suppliers etc. So i'll keep you all updated.

Ideally i'll need a look at a 6n/6n2 floor so I can see what we can do (coz the standard way of mounting seats in them is bloody stupid)

Would be intrested if the price is right for a 6N

If/when i get a 6n, id be all over these.

any newsd mate, as I'm still very intrested and I'm gettinga retrim soon so woudl liek to know a rough price, even if it is VERY rough, as i have NO IDEA what so ever what these things go for

I can do them, but only for 9n, due to the silly way that 6n seats are mounted!

Rough idea on price then Panda?

could probably get them knocked up for around £100 if you need a set.

did the rear seats fit as I'm away to purchase some off ebay and would like to know if they did

rear seats will need alot of work to get them in!
