mk3 fox hatchback LOW MILEAGE

Featured Replies

I've had this car since last June, its my first car and been great to drive. This car has been great to me and a fantastic little runner, never let me down, don't really need a car anymore due to uni in september so its just taking up space on the drive.

Make: Volkswagen

Model:Polo Fox hatchback, 1.05L

Year/Reg:K

Mileage:65k

MOT:June 09

Tax:5 months i think

Good points:Low mileage, good condition for age. Runs smoothly and starts every time. Very economical. Sport Rader 14" alloys, Clear front indicators. Pioneer Head unit and Kenwood 10cm speakers in the front and 6 x 9s in the boot. Recently had new brake pads and front two tyres and driver side front wheel bearing replaced. Boot fully carpeted. Great First Car. No rust, great condition for age. Also recently had the front driverside damper replaced which was done by myself and replaced the CV boot which had split, which was on the same side also.

Bad points:Roof has lacquer peel. Small dent in passenger side front arch, which can be seen in the photographs, was there when i got it, never bothered to repair it but could be easily done. I have two previous MOT's from the garage which it was kept at but nothing so much as service history goes. what can i say, I've had the car for over a year now and it still drives fantastic with absolutely nothing wrong mechanically whatsoever, its been my daily and has never let me down, all i have really had to spend on it is the regular consumables which any car goes through such as brake pads etc. i have however kept the reciepts for parts that i have fitted etc whilst i have owned the car. Doesn't drive exactly in a straight line at the moment but i think thats the wheel balancing and i think the driverside rear wheel has a very very slow puncture. started to refurb and respray the alloys, only done one, so one doesnt match in colour to the others right now, but i can throw in the primer, paint and laquer so the buyer can do the rest if they wish.

My Son has one just the same.. great car...

Would like to know about the wheels and tyres you have on it?

You say they are 14" ? what tyres are fitted and do you have any problems..

Good luck with the sale...

tyres are just cheap ones, got the front two ones new when I had my wheel bearing done, that was about three months ago now. the alloys are sport rader ones which are quite common on VWs although I've actually only ever seen the same wheels as mine on mk3 golfs! they came with the car when i got it. One of them is kerbed slightly but on the whole they're pretty good.

what tyre size is fitted? Cheers :?:?:?
