PhilJ 60/40 kit

Featured Replies

bought this kit and ended up dropping on lowering springs.

from what i was told, they were only about 1 year old, unknown mileage.

could do with a clean up ad some rust, but can do that for a little extra beer money!

only problem is that there is a missing bush from one of the rear shocks!

offers please.

based in blackpool, collection prefered but can post for £15

<edit> for MK 1/2/3

<another edit> Just found out that the fronts are standard shocks with lowering springs

(didn't look at them coz someone picked them up for me, then just moved them into garage).

Will get some pics of anyone is still interested

when bought, was told that rears were adjustable (they do have 6-8 notches that can be used)

and fronts were set at 60mm

they came off a running motor about 2 weeks prior to me buying them, and i've had them a couple of weeks!

in process of cleaning up and painting fronts struts (how i found out they were std) so thats why one black and the other half stripped!

i'm based in devon, so collection is out of the window unfortunately ! would you consider selling just the springs and posting them down this way ?

Sorry, I'm going to ask another newbie question, but how do the front struts actually attach, as I do want these but do I have to change the full front strut assemblys? Would be easy enough to do and then I could renew discs and pads on front, just wondered if it was necessary??

Would you sell them for 65 quid posted??

would prefer not to as the shocks as kinda useless without springs!
