Brands Hatch

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of going to the DTM at Brands Hatch, does anyone know the track well for watching races?

I'm just wondering whether to fork out for Grandstand seats, at either Paddock Hill or Hailwoods, or whether there's other parts of the circuit which offer just as good or better views?

Cheers.

(Apologies if this is in the wrong section.)

Best place in my opinion is in the bowl on the other side of the start-finish line, on the other side of the track. From there you can walk around to the top of the hairpin (it looks fookin ace watching them bomb down paddock hill bend from there), and over the brigde watching them fly down the straight. I've only watch superbikes there, but I'm sure it will be a similar experience. See image, place I was marked "A". Don't pay for expensive seats, you're stuck there!

Okay thanks, pal.

The area marked on the map is called the Southbank and you have to pay extra to park there, only £2 and well worth it especially i it rains as you can sit in your car and also maans you can leave stuff in your car and just pop back for it at anytime. With it being the DTM though you would have to get there early to get a space there and it would also take quite a while to get out at the end of the day. Make sure you ask for Southbank parking though when you get your ticket or at the gate.

The top hairpin, druids, is also a good place to watch the DTM from as you get a good balance of a straight, fast corner and and slow speed corner.

I wouldn't reccomend getting a grandstand ticket though, as Brands is one of those tracks where you can roam almost anywhere its good to watch from all over the circuit and especially as the DTM race is quite long.

@ PSWPolo why do you always have to write in a different font?

Sorry, didn't know it would cause such a commotion!

I just prefer Arial, that's all.
