mk4 115bhp PD estate - with magic box so really 140bhp+

Featured Replies

I think the time may have come for a change...I have a habit of changing cars every year or 2  and well I've now owned the esate for a year, and I fancy a change again just because I can.

What can I say, its my pride and Joy. its a 2001 Golf Estate TDI with all the toys!

Specs:

115bhp PD engine (with Dragon peformance tuning box so really 140-145bhp) easily does 50mpg and if driven sensibly will do 60 odd.

6 speed manual box so motorway crusing is easly, 70mph = 2000rpm = peak torque (1800-2100rpm)

cruse control, heated seats (even gtis didnt get these unless you paid more), AC, head light washers, centre arm rest, MP3 CD player fitted, electric windows all round (with auto remote open and closeure), traction control and stabilty control, abs, full air bag system, (I wotk in crash safety ;) )

It has a full VAG service history up till when I got it last easter, since then I've done all services using VAG parts, so Mann filters and Fusch super synth factory fill oil. It also had a cam belt change 10k miles ago in Sept, along with a new Gen Vag head gasket (it was weeping a tiny amount so I chose to do it. since then its not touched a drop at all!) and a new gen turbo oil feed pipe was fitetd and all other parts used were gen vag too.

I have a full folder of reciepts, mots, service list etc right back to when it was new, its had 2 prev owners. with the last owner being a good mate at work who had it for 2 years.

its had the brake fluid changed 6 months ago for dot5.1 and also the gear box oil was changed then too, again factory fill fusch oil was used.

the car has just flown through its last MOT no problems, the only advisary was slightly worn rear discs, but these are fine for easily another year or 2, they have loads of meat left. the front discs and pads were changed last summer with ATE power discs fitted and Mintex pads (I dont skimp on parts) so these will be fine for ages yet!!

The car has been fitted with ABM projector head lights (Fitted for the better beam pattern for safer night driving as I do alot of driving at night on unlit duel carriageways), and a set of 17" audi TT alloy.

I Think Ill let the Pictures do the rest:

I do have the normal plates too, they are the show plates fitted in the pics

The car has covered 186K miles, but believe me this is nothing! it still feel tight and when I did the head gasket both me and my mechanic friend gave the engine a once over and the bores show no signs or wear at all, and the turbo main bearing is fine too! this is because the car has been religiously serviced by VAG and useing VAG oil, also all the miles have been motorway so crusing at part throttle in 6th doing 2000rpm,

Viewing is HIGHLY recomended, you wont believe the condition of the car!:D

the car is located in Nottingham, 5 mins from Junc 25 of the M1. any questions feel free to contact me, I've only covered the surface on this post I have a huge welth of info on the car!

I'm looking for £3950 ono for the car, which I think is very good, these cars dont come up for sale too often, and even lower spec ones are still fetching silly money on ebay etc, but I'm realistic.

Cheers

Karl.

also a quick one to show the size of the boot -

as you can see its a good size but the cars not over large on the out side being only about 6-8" longer than a normal golf, so its dead easy to park.

Also better exterior pics:

The car will have 6 months Tax too, and also I have the original rear bumper beam too so the tow bar can be removed.

I will also service the car so it will be fine for the next 10k/12 months,
