Had a run up Cairn o Mount last week with Tav and Pidge: A few photos for you to enjoy.

The road runs between Banchory and Laurencekirk, South West of Aberdeen. The road is rather windy and steep and provides and entertaining drive.

The breathtaking views from the top provided suitable photo locations as well.

On our way back popped in past a friends to check out his dads new toy.

This is one of the best bits of the road for the reasons indicated:

It's such a steep incline you don't really need to brake on the way up as it just saps speed so quickly. I doubt it'd be possible to accelerate up it in 3rd gear from say 40-60mph in the GT...so you just carry speed into it after exiting a fast and ever descending left hand bend (where the photatoe was taken).

We only went out to Banchory to get a whippy ice cream cone....68miles later we got back...yayers.

The downhill bit from the summit is nuts, I found myself breaking halfway down the whole thing lol

I've just been looking at booking my summer hols / breaks and it looks like i'll be in Scotland for a long weekend for my mates 20th...

If possible we will definately head down and try it out - looks lovely!

Quite looking forward to driving there now - I just thought it would be another long ass journey without any fun

Surprised no one has confessed to shotting a wad in their trousers over the GT3 yet...I mean the GT would take it...but it's still lush!

GT3 is lovely, no offence to pidgeridoos dad but if I had one it would have to be in one of the lighter colours... green/yellow that sort of thing. Still lush though.
