Bike throttle bodies

Featured Replies

A mate of mine is wanting to fit bike throttle bodies to a 1.3GT(zx6r/gsxr600/r6),obviously he needs a inlet manifold made up,but what else will he need to get it running.

He knows a few people who can make things up,but any experience on this would be helpful.

Could sombody provide a list.

Or even better PM me with your number for advise :-D

He isnt on the Net at the moment,so this would be easier or i can pass the info on....Help would be very much appreciated.

Throttle bodies or carbs? throttle bodies need management such as megasquirt... carbs just need fuel pump regulator/inlet and correct jetting

Ye, he knows what he's saying 8-)

if its a gt i would say you are better off with bike carbs... using throttle bodies you would need stand alone ecu, all the sensors that the new ecu would require. lots or time to almost make up you are own loom and then lots and lots of rolling road time to set it up...

much cheaper with carbs and less faffin

Either, but the carbs look easier,i will let my mate know.
