Just seen it, its mental!

Have Punto GT's ever been worth more then 1k? :-s haha

The rest are bargain, some nice motors ther! I love 205 Gti's too! Terrible for fucking up, but sweet looking and awesome handling :-)

my step dads had 2 205 GTI's and a 309 GTI, the only problem he ever had with any of them was a cracked exhurst manifold (apparently that is a weak point on them so be careful of any that blow from there), so not sure where your getting the idea that they fuck up a lot?

tbh tho i wouldn't own one, there fine for ragging around and they do handle great, but they just feel really small inside and the one i drove seemed to tramline quite badly, add to that a bit of torque steer and they can be a bit of a handfull at times on day to day driving, but on the country lanes they are in a class of there own.

i couldn't live with one as a daily tho just for occasional back road blasts, but as you live in the middle of nowhere it would probably be ideal for you toby.

i think his dad was trying to offload one of them for ages iirc, so doubt he would want another

Yeah I've been quite tempted to run the Supra, but 25 mpg is about as low as I can afford and the only time the car did that was on a long motorway journey. Not overly quick out the box, only put out 232 bhp which isn't very great for a 3.0 turbo, but wind the boost up and they fly, the standard exhaust genuinely saps about 30 brake as well, 2 cats and it's only 2" bore.

Trying to arrange a viewing of that 205 at the moment

Guy isn't wanting a lot of money for it

Lotus Carltons still go for over 10k lol, they are immense

Sierra Cosworth - Bit more than a grand but still high performance motoring for small money. will never forget my old mans one before it died......fuck me that thing was quick, always wanted to own one myself at some point

Don't think you can call any cosworth good value for money these days... £8k plus. You could buy a proper car for that!

yeah but i'd still rather have a cosworth over most 'proper' cars, they've been one of my fave cars since being a kid and still hope to own one one day, only time will tell tho...

I'd have one too

Escort Cossies are a bit poncy though, RS500s are where it's at

That 205 was a bag of shit, hunt is back on!

Saab 9000 Aeros are pure Q cars. My mates Aero matches acceleration to a VR6... and the sound of the dump valve is immense! Plus full leather interior and smooth and comfortable as many modern luxury cars! Definately one to think about.

Just make sure you look for the pre-GM models! Or the Carlsson models...

Saab Carlsson

but saabs have a gay image (mainly personified by there owners), my dad owns one and all i ever hear is how good they are and why don't i get one, his ain't even a good one. saabs will always be gay due to the owners, which is a shame.

DISCLAIMER: not all Saab drivers are gays, or look at there cars in gay ways, just most most them.

^^^ i guess its kinda the same with skodas.

they will always be a ''skoda'' even if they are 200bhp like dads, we were at the traffic lights last week and some cocky jag drivre thougth uww its only a estate i will go on the turning right lane and scoot past him before he even knows I'm there! well... dad realised this and had the skud spinning in first second and into third just to stop him getting infront of him. he recieved all sorts of hand jestures for not letting him In aswell... all because he was PWNED by a skoda :p

I'd love a 9000 Aero though... black with those SEXY 3 spokes

This may be to do with new legislation planned to be introduced by the government later this year. Any car over 2.0 litre that is over a certain age is gonna get taxed shit loads!

get an old 900 turbo 16v sounds like a beast and goes like stink!

They're not that cheap to run in terms of parts prices, but even chipped to 270bhp/420Nm I get 30-31mpg with fairly sensible driving on longish runs.

Too easy to drop to 26mpg though, and it'll cripple you on fuel if you're only doing town driving. Mine is still holding up okay at 175,000 miles too, but it's been looked after. I wish I'd bought a red one now, black's a sod to keep clean.
