A Big Thankyou

Featured Replies

A Big thanks to the two people who helped us out today, Laura and Pettsy.

Stranded 200 miles from home, a quick couple of phone calls and they sorted us out. They truly are what the scene is about.

Thanks again,

Burna, Char, panda & rennie

what happened ?!?!

sorry bout the late reply, basically, me, the missus, panda and matt:polo LCR went to alton towers today, as we left i got a flat tire on my porsche wheels, went to change it and relised i didnt have the tools to take the spacers off, full of hell, i had to go by tools to get them off.

once i got the adaptors off i couldnt put the space saver on as i didnt have vw bolts, only porsche ones so i had to improvise with the adaptor bolts.

panda knew laura from the polo show who lived down that way and asked her if she had a spare full size wheel and bolts to get us home (as i didnt fancy driving the motorway on a space saver with dodgy bolts), she didnt but suggested petsy from here might have one. so we rang him(who we have never met can i add) and he could sort us out. got to his house, he sorted us with a full size rim and bolts and was a sound guy! (awesome mk3 btw)

got us home 5 house shatterd later! the fact i never met either of these people untill today and were more than willing to help a fellow stranded polo owner really made my day!

great community guys

WOW! that reallyw as needed to give full affect! great!

fair play, nice to hear happy story's these days 8-)

Nice to know there still are people out there that will help you out and not just laugh at your misfortune.

Not quite the same proportion of matters, but youngprodigys happened to be outside my house on a friday with his G60 Rallye up on the widowmaker - turned out he'd lost a wheel nut or two from the wheels he'd only just put on (as he walked down the road and found one). But he knocked on my door and asked me if I had any spare wheel nuts - I had a bag of em down the shed so that was alright, and he was on his way again fully bolted this time.

Just a bit of luck to break down in front of my house, especially considering we don't even live in the same town!

Pettsy is a legend, helped me out with securing an errant side repeater a while back at Santa Pod ha ha!

This is what I love about the VW community! So many people out there willing to help each other out! For me TobyK has been such a help to me since I joined up! Even as we speak his dad is trying to fix the old chavwagon a.k.a. my saxo! And last weekend Toby was round when I was stuggling to dewiper my valver and did a great job of going to the shop and replenishing my supply of kinder bueanos :) Cheers Toby!

Top stuff pettsy!

The same happened at All Types last night (saturday) me and G40 Ad were driving back from the disco in the Relaxi Taxi and got royally stuck and straight away as soon as it started spiinning more than 5 people got out of their camping areas and helped us push it! i will definatley be staying in the Vw scene as long as possible!

i cant believe how different it is at shows and on the forums compared to french car forums etc!

:oops::ninja:

Happy to help another polo owner out! Glad you hear you made it home safely.
