16valver seats in a 8valver having problems help

i have just got a full set of 16 valve seats and door cards but the front two seats dont sit in right they wobble from side to side only a little bit but not happy with it would fail mot like this just wondering if anyone knows why this is.

maybe different fitting on 16 valve dunno if anyone has done this and it worked, how did you solve this or did they fit stright in?????????

exactly the same fittings, maybe they are worn, but tbh my8v seats do move about abit? maybe try swopping subbies over?

there's probably a little white plastic bit missing off the runners of the seats, i took out my seats to remove the carpet and broke one of them and the seat wobbled afterwards, maybe you could take the missing ones off your 8v seats?

i haven't got my 8 valve ones anymore but i think i know what plastic bits you mean

That's exactly what happened every time I've ever changed or removed seats. The white plastic bit fills in the runner, removing any slack, therefore eliminatng any looseness. These always ping off or snap whilst removing, resulting in being pissed off when you forget to put them back on before re-fitting.
