Here for sale is my beloved MK1 Polo. The car was used daily up until I bought my MK2 Scirocco so I am looking to sell so I can get G back on the road and rip it up once again. I've put some new bits on the car recently and its also had some parts replaced in recent months so everything is up to scratch. The car was painted in January 2006, the job isn't great but it has preserved the solid shell and exterior panels a treat. I remember when I bought this car from 86c, he told me that it was one of most solid examples he'd seen in a long time. There are a few patches of rust on the car that can be ground, filled and re-painted easily. The sill has just been plated up, filled and painted by myself and it came up pretty well. So here she is:

Good Bits:

- New front near side bearing

- Slight running problem from cold

- Blad front tyres (will supply MK3 Polo steels to get you home)

- Couple of oil leaks

- Couple of rust spots

- Slight sunroof leak

- Couple of small dents

Its the head gasket, it smokes a bit on the manifold and drips on the floor. exhaust smokes a bit and it doesn't run every well until its warmed up, think it needs using or maybe look at the head?

Nope, checked everything, it kinda of starts but doesn't run right at all.

I'm gonna rebuild the carb and see then mate, I'll let you know!

just wondering, were did you get the 1981 GB plate that is hanging off the back bumper?

I got it from an aircooled show!

Right all, heres the latest:

I have re-built the carb and the car is even worse.

I am now selling the car as a non-runner. everything is good except the non-running engine. The shell is completely solid and does not need restoration a little paint and de-rusting but nothing major, this car would make great for a G40 project. The wings are solid and do not have much rust all.

I have in my garage a 1272 engine from a Polo CL so if you want that as well to get running again the an extra 50 will get you that too.
