Dont think they make an AEE with a metel inlet manifold, there plastic?

Apparently the SPI has a metal one?

Do the AEE and the ABU have the same head?

Sorry i thought you meant MPI, I'm unsure about the SPI's but i know the AEE and AEE have different port shapes???

one of the old GK/MH i dont bloody know , old polo engine has what seems to me the same base plate

I think it would be far easier to make an adapter.

Hi I'm doing a similar conversion to what you're doing not getting any joy with the aee cylinder head so I'm retro fitting the 1.3 cylinder head that way everything bolts up as normal

Which 1.3 head?

you carnt use a GT head because of the compression apparently, which in theory would mean any mk3 head as they are all the same design bar the internals

the gt head wont fit on. combustion chambers are different. Aee is in the head, where as 1.3 is in the piston!!

My aee is mpi, everyone we've looked at has a plastic inlet on.

right back to the drawing board i had to suck it and see for myself yes 1300 head does not work so back on with the 1600 head and I'm going to get a cnc flange made up and attach it to the 1300 inlet manifold. hope the westher holds out 2morrow
