not really worth loads but more than a bog standard one to a vw fan, put it this way only even seen 2 other black mk3 loons in the last 6 years - a bashed one on auto trader a few month back and a dead one on german ebay last year, but yours is the only one with a factory steel sliding sun roof = very rare.

its only paint! so i would enjoy yours as it looks nice anyway then one day if u get bored paint it black again!

how do you find yours in windy conditions? i find my loon feels very light at the front end, but its only a basic 1.3 in it

Yeah, bout it from a guy called mike o'deal? in london. The G40 shell is going to have the old 1.3 engine in it. I know that I should have kept the thing standard but I had big plans for my saloon.

Well now I know, One day I can change it back to standard. When I first bought the car it was lowered on stiff suspention so kind of felt solid on the road, but have driven others and it did feel really light at about 70 and when it was windy.

Man, I put picks on here of my car before I done anything to it. Why didnt anyone say anything then.lol

End of the day it was your car so do what you like to it. Just because it is a tad more valuable to the RARE hunters doesn't mean you have done anything wrong. The car was otherwise probably destined to be run into the ground so you have probably saved its life :-) I do think the car would have looked sick all black but in the end it is your car and you did what you wanted so good for you. I would have had it all black with the orange only in the engine bay. That would have looked sick.

Plus it has a G40 motor inside. Could be pink with a rust roof and still going to go like a train

Hello mate, i remember a grey mk4 golf. I'm getting comments saying that its a crap orange. Did you notice its gold pearl. You cant really notice the colour on the photo's. What did you recon to it?? after seeing it up close.

I just bought Steffan BCW's 14"x7" in the front and 14"x8" on the rear. and its lowered 45mm all round.

Iv also taken the rear axle, It now has the standard axle and drums from my saloon. I have also changed the steering wheel, front seats, odometer, to that of a standard polo. I'm really looking to get it back on the road with the 1.3 in it. If you wanted the shell as it is, how much would you give me for it???

Get some pics of the car fully in the light so we can see the paint properly. I like it. Something different at least. Mirrors are shit but as you said try em and see. Standard mirrors in orange or black will look much better better. Under bonnet looks the balls I bet this looks cool as fuck as it roars past you.
