Thought i may as well put up my pics of 'Anna' (no prizes for guessing why that came about)

Engine:

1.4 8v - stock

Chassis:

Coilovers fitted - dropped somewhere between 100 - 120mm. Rear helper springs removed.

Steffan Cup's 14x8 ET20 all round with Falken ZE-512 185/55/14

Interior:

As VW intended it

ICE:

Pioneer head unit (speaker upgrade to follow at some point)

Exterior:

Tinted tail lights

Badgless grille

Clear repeaters and indicators

Stubby aerial

Rub strips removed

(Rear towing point going this weekend hopefully)

How she was when i picked her up

After a bloody good clean and throwing the wheel trims away!

Tyres fitted and ready to go on once the coilies get fitted

Wheels and coilies fitted

After getting the lamps done, i thought it was time to wind the coilies down a bit more, and get some fancy shots!

I've taken around another 20mm out of the back and 15mm from the front....i just need a good opportunity to get some more pics!

That looks nice, I liked the steelies though, but the Steffans look good too. :-)

As for the tyres, yeah, already looked into it. Can't seem to find 185/45's (tell me if i'm looking in the wrong places ), so i thought about maybe some 195/45's.

yeh might find 195/45's may stick out a bit from the arches mine do anyway i've got 8x14 too, i was gonna go with 185/55 bt i wanted a lower profile tyre. i wish you could get decent 185/45's. Doh looks good though mate getting my coilies soon. :-D

You cant get 185/45/14`s, lowest is 185/50/14, trust me I've been looking for some to go on my 6`s for weeks

195/45/14 look good though on 8`s

Looking nice but the rear tyres look too big.

Looks spot on mate... does your Girlffriend drive this sometimes... put a spotted post up for this being sean near JohnLewis and turning off on the dual carrige way and Jonnyblease replied saying it could of been him but this looks more like the one i saw... cept it was a girl driving according to my girlfriend when it overtook.

Get some red tint spray, and just go with VERY light coats.....to start off with it looks like you've hardly touched them, but they soon build up!

Then i just got some clear lacquer and did the same.....!

Give it a go......you be fine!

Yeah, i was a little concerned that the 195's tread face might stick out a little too! That said, the pics do make the tyres look bigger than they are.... They're not exactly low profile, but they ain't donuts either!!!

Coilies are the way forward. The only problem you'll have with them is always wanting to wind them down just a 'touch more'......and NEVER back up. LOL

Not much of a difference, but still better!

I just can't decide if it's worth spending 200 notes on dropping from a 185/55 to a 185/50.

I didn't really want to, but looks like i might have to switch to 195's

TBH, i don't really let anyone drive my car....always been a habbit of mine! Don't mind the Mrs using it if she needs to nip out, but she never has done in the polo so far!
