i can get shtuff polished by a good bloke not too far from me so i just want the cover without the reccess for the throttle cable to fit my g40, i can get it polished no probs!! :D

i used to do a few of these, but the demand tailed off and people wanted them for peanuts so i stopped doing them. there a guy on polo3.co.uk who goes by the name stealth vw and his work looks pretty top notch. think he posts on here too

^^ i'm a mk4 polo though i'm afraid. That seems to be just for MKs 1-3

is it too difficult to do yourself?

get a kit off ebay to fit a drill and away to go

go scrappers and buy a second hand one....polish it up you sen, go down the sandpaper ranges, then autosol...i did mine with a machine polisher tho haha

i have a early (none grove) un polished one £25

I have the engine cover and I would love to learn how to refurb it myself, I will get photos of it and could you guys tell me what to do.
