Wheel refurb

Featured Replies

Hi! I haven't been on here for a while, but was wondering if you guys and girls could give me your honest opinions on what colour to refurb my wheels? They're a graphite black normally, but I want to see what you thought about me changing the centres to white?

Also I seemed to not be a member anymore? My merbership's not due to expire until June, and I pay for it automatically through PayPal, what's going on?

Yeah I know what you mean. The car is pretty dirty in the pick though. The previous owner of the car re-painted it, I think candy white. Coz none of the other whites match it. The paint on the wheel is just white primer, coz I haven't finished it yet.

The whites really growing on me too. I just wanted a bit of a change. Can anyone recommend some nice white polos on here, for me to have a look at?

Defo white, but id just have the actual spokes white, then the little ring before the dish black, it will make them stand out more

Check out chrispy`s car, one of the best white ones on here

Just need some ideas now of what to do with the centre caps? They look so bland in white!

I had an idea of maybe somehow fixing a 3D VW sign on them and then keeping them white. But I have no idea how to actually do it. What do you think? Any ideas?

hi. some time ago i did mine... all i did was download a vw emblem from the internet, then fix it to some black contact paper and trace the outline of the vw emblem carefully using a sharp craft knife... make sure when you're attaching the sticker on, u centre it.

sorry i never saw your thread but i DEFINATLY say white... white on white really is the future, I've tasted it :p

Thanx for the advice, but I was thinking more of a 3D effect. Like the rear VW badges, but smaller. Just gotta figure out how?

Polomon, loving the car, looks like you've done loads since the last time I was on here. Have a look at my topic for white silicon hoses on the polo chat. What do you think?

mmm lips :unibrow::-p:lol:

Kitkat, this might be a bit of hard work, but on some old vw wheels they had big centre caps, and on the centre caps were the vw emblem (3d), you could cut that emblem out and stick it onto your centre caps?

That's not me, that's the other half... doesn't trust anybody! ha ha One set came with the car, he bought the other two from VW. I wouldn't mind, but he doesn't even have 1 set on his skyline!

Edited by kitkat

I bet he will soon after you've told everyone that

unfourtunatly not. He says he cant fit them on his wheels. I'd like to see them try and jack his car up though, his alarm goes nuts if you get within 2 feet of it! 8-)

Anyway, how have you been? Got any more car parts I can take off your hands??? :unibrow::nod:
