1997 Polo 1.4 CL Central Locking System/Alarm And Window Modulator!

Featured Replies

Hi all

Just joined up, seems a good place.

I have a 1997 Polo 1.4 CL in green :D

I've come to fit an alarm, and sucessfully connected all parts, apart from the Central Locking System.

Being a VW, it uses air compression, which makes it a little more awkard than any other system!

The basic problem is establishing how the alarm central locking control works in conjunction to the cars central locking system. I'll attach some pictures, and hopefully someone with a little more experience can aid us! Can anyone make sense of the 'common line'?

As i said, the rest is connected (the relays were a little problematic..but we managed to wire them in), so this is the only part holding us back.

Thankyou for looking, and i welcome your responses!

Hi again.

Right, got the central locking working! Its pretty good.

We just had to connect a few things in the boot.

However, we can't work out the window modulator! Anyone any ideas on how to connect that successfully? The idea is that the windows rise when the alarm in activated.

Thanks again

Matt
