Insurance HELP!!

Featured Replies

I'm 18 with no NCB, I've been a named driver with my car 1.4 8v for just under a year.

going to buy a 1.4 16v 6n, just check elephant for a quote for me as the main driver, it came up with over £3000.

if i get my mum to be main driver and ill just be the named driver on the valver will it be any cheaper??

in a word yes, however if you do that and shes not the main driver then this would be considered as fronting the policy, and may well make the policy invalid

Turn it on its head!!!

This may sound daft, however it works! When you filled the quote in did you just put your name down, or did you have your mum on it too? If not, have her as a named driver on your policy & you'll probably be surprised at the difference!

As said before don't be a named driver on your car, it'll end in tears!!!

yeah my mate was a named driver on his bike an when it was stolen because the bike was registered in his name not his dads they didnt pay out :(

Try Kwik Fit mate, they quoted me £1360-odd on my 1.6 6n, no ncb or driving experience, was 18 at the time as well. Forgot to mention, its my own policy (named driver) on a third party fire & theft policy :)
