Spray paint removal

Featured Replies

Some little B******d decided it would be fun to spray paint a thick white line down the side of my MK3. Most of it is coming off with elbow grease but in some parts it is fairly thick. Whats the best option T-CUT or just try to spray over with original colour.

Cheers

Try Halfords for some fine grit rubbing compound - its like a cream T-cut with very fine "sand/grit". Gently rub in a circular motion to remove the top layer of paint.... :-D

if the car is original paint then cellulose thinners wipe the aerosol stuff straight off and not touch the orig paint at all

if you think its had a shady respray before dont try this

yeah thinners if your carefull then plenty of polish on after but if it has had repairs then theres a chance the paint underneath could come off too

other than that it's flat and polish
