Well - its been a while so i thought i'd just do a quick update.

I've now got a bit better income. So 1st priority is to buy a house. 2nd priority is to sort out the Polo! (Skoda seems to be ok at the moment - touch wood!)

The rust on the drivers side is starting to get more serious. So i'm going to get it into the bodyshop in a month or 2 and get them to sort the rust, fill the number plate plynth, delete the upper vent in the bumpers, but leave the foglight ones. I'm trying to find a Rieger 90mm front splitter. Nothing yet. But i'll keep hunting. New wheels are on the card too, just not sure what to go with yet! :) Maybe 6x16 D90's with satin black centres or Compomotive TH's or Schmidt ML's. Dont know yet!

Interior I'm happy with - same with the ICE

Just could do with a bit more poke - induction kit & exhaust/manifold to start with.

love the wheels, id really like a set in black. never seen one of those grills on a 6n before, I'm 50/50 cant help think it would look better with a black badge, but atleast its different to all the debadged grills etc...where was it from mate?

looks ace with that grill

It came from German ebay - cost over £70 for it! I have always wanted one since I saw one on Tracey's 16v back at Polo Show Number1. I tried it with a Black badge. But it doesnt fit! Thats actually a mk2 Polo grill badge!!! Like it silver! I'm not a big de-badge grill fan - why hide the brand of the car you drive - when you obviously like your VW!

I did think about spraying them matt black. But decided to stay with the silver for now! Already got one Murdered Out car - 2 would be OverKill!

love the new grill but i think i prefer the old wheels.

but the car looks very schmaart!

matsu

get some 175/50's and slam that black beast!! will look hot!! liking the grill tho...pretty cool!!

New tyres on - gone for 195/45/ Toyos' - maybe able to lower it a bit more now!

Looks awesome! Have you thought about making the grill badge black? Don't really know what it would look like but mind blend really nice with the ABT grill which is awesome :D keep up the good work :)

New front splitter is next on the list! Once I have the new gearbox fitted! Maybe a retrim..........

Really like them Rims :D

looking good on the new rims

not to sure about the mudguards

  • Author

The roads around here are always covered in mud, the mudguards do their job of keeping the bodywork protected at least a little!

They will stay for the time being!

Ignition coil exploded on Thursday on the way to work in the snow! £36+vat for a new one - fitted at the road side, job done!

A bit of interior work next! :)

Typical! Car has been running great for the last 4 weeks since it had its new gearbox fitted (other than loosing its rusty backbox!) today I bottomed it out on the speed bump at the bottom of my works driveway and knackered my CAT, choking my exhaust and causing the car to stall everytime the revs went above tickover! Oh well!

that sucks mate... speed bumps are a bad invention!!!

car is looking great man the rusty bonnet go's well with those rims the 3 spoke ones i cant be arsed to go back at find out the name, also what the ride like on the philj coilies

Ride is firm - but i've lived with it for 2 years now - highly recommended!

Just a quick update - car passed its MOt after getting its new CAT & exhaust on & the car cleaned a bit.
