Hmm.... vote for it anyway lol. Duno bout a black sill as with the colour coded bumpers the bottom edge sticks down further than the sill end of the wing, and doesn't look as neat in my opinion, but duno yet?

As biased as I would be saying white, I like the look of the Gulf livery.

Cheers guys, the car is currently having the rust ground off it (I've been having fun with the angle grinder), and I've always loved the Gulf colours, but........ do you not find it a bit over the top? Cant believe how many votes the scheme has got!! I personally put the first vote in for the white/black/yellow, but am surprised theres been no votes for the red and that!

Ah right, makes sense but I was searching for the trims for months and nobody was willing to post to NI so I gave up and decided no arch trims, side skirts or door rub strips, just the bumpers!! Like the CLG project on here!!

Black with yellow fogs and headlights gets my vote... gulf livery i think looks good but in the flesh i think it may look pretty poor!

gulf one for sure, I've seen it done on a mk1 golf which was fully track prepped and raced regularly, looked the tits.

if you get the car painted blue and most of the decals in vinyl (cheapest) or magnet based decals, it means you can run it in the gorgeous sky blue type colour when your bored of the decals or come time to sell

i was thinking of this idea for beenas respray, but think I'm going for a proper dark blue, might even pay homage to the old g and go for windsor/royale blue

I'm not a fan of white CC'd bumpers, looks much better with the stock black plastic items...it was a good shout when Andy went back to them. I'd say the same for red as well... CC'd bumpers look best on black (inc. metallic) and grey cars.

I think it would be great to see you paint the car blue with half coded orange bumpers. It is great that the original Porsche race car has black stripes, making running black topped bumpers visually accurate too. Then all you need is some quality vinyl stickers made up and have them applied to the car. I think it'd be good fun seeing a non-race car rocking a really old school paint theme from a legendary by gone era.

as for you, personally i'd stay away from red!

don't get me wrong, a nicely polished red is damn sweet but after time it fades easy to a tornado pink!!!
