My Cordoba 2.0 16v ABF (150bhp) px/swap??? Try me!!

Featured Replies

Getting a feeler for selling my 2.0 16v ABF Cordoba. Had the car a while now and am thinking of selling to get a daily hack for a while. This car has been awesome and drives so well. This car has only done 69k from new, so only 6k a year! A few guys from here have seen this car and kept up with it on the M5, it does fly and drives better than most cars I've owned.

Ok the details are as follows:

1997 2.0 16v ABF (150bhp standard) will rev all day to 7.5k

Rare Cantabrian Blue

Standard engine, drilled airbox

17" kendos with polished lip on 4 brand new kumhos

Spax fully adjustable coilovers with dampening

Fully coded skirts bumpers and valances

Brand new 280mm discs with brand new greenstuff pads

Mk3 interior (Polo gti seats front and rear)

Sony headunit, Fusion sub and amp.

Electric windows and mirrors

Air con

Sunroof

Power steering

Full stainless scorpion exhaust

Has had an oil change in the last month, new belts new brakes.

Will come with 6 months tax and MOT is up in November but sailed through last time with one low tread on a tyre

Has a few minor points which can be fixed for sale, Abs sensor needs replacing and an abs reluctor ring on the passenger side. The central locking is not working at the moment, this is down to a vacuum leak at the drivers lock, simple fix. The Abs sensor is £15 from GSF and the reluctor ring is £12 + VAT from Seat... both easy to fix. The Air leak is very easily fixable when found... a piece of hose costing pence and maybe a T piece.

Paintwork on the whole is good with a few marks for the year which is to be expected.

Overall this car has been fantastic...the only thing to have ever gone wrong is a £4 thermostat

Anyone interested please email me on danart22@hotmail.com or call me on 07790 326163

Bit hard to guage where to price it but owing to the miles and the spec I have REDUCED the price to reflect the minor things that needs doing to the car, this is more than a fair price i think. I would consider a swap as well... depends ideally i am looking for a passat tdi or 1.8t

Hi you,

I'm in Devon, Just of Jc27 of the M5.

It has some Seat history + loads of receipts for stuff I have done and had done to the car. I am a member of gmvw though and we are all a bit handy with our Vags :-D so all work has been done properly. Also work has been done here, www.volkscraft.com by Matt and also by a friend who is a VW mechanic.

Thanks

This is a rapid car i tried to keep up with it on the m5 going to UD and it just stormed away as if we were doing 30! :o

How much are you looking for Dan?

Hi mate,

I was looking at £1800 for her as she has only done 69k I have allowed for the fact that a sensor and reluctor ring will need to go on.

Think its a little more than 150bhp at the mo with a very respectable 0 - 60, surprises a few things. In fact it will do 65 -70 in second!

Out of the factory the specs were 134mph top speed, it would easily do this i reckon.

yeah i remember driving with this to UD.

lovely car, rapid also. ;)

if only i wasnt just turning 19 id have this.

bump for an ace car
