MK1 Golf GTI Campaign TSR 1900cc - Near Mint

Featured Replies

Hi

Sadly i'm having to sell my Campaign, mainly due to the fact I've bought a G40 and 2 MK2 Golfs in recent months. Sadly she just isnt being used, which is a tragedy for a car like this. Ok a little bit about her:

Genuine Campaign with EW chassis number, all the Campaign extras (green tint glass, leather steering wheel, genuine pirelli p-slot alloy wheels with the raised 'pirellis'). She also has rear seat belt clips which was a rare factory option.

This has hardly been used since having a full respray and restoration some 18 months ago. Expensive professional respray in original colour of Mars red, nice and shiny!!!, no fading at all.500 miles since respray so hardly any stone chips at all. Hence near mint condition.

Ok, although mileage is 170k engine had a TSR C-pack full conversion at 100k miles, so engine is nice and tight, doesn't smoke or burn oil, revs freely and hasn't lost any power. This is the genuine engine which has received 1900cc conversion and TSR performance cam. I have receipts from TSR totalling over 3k!!!!!!!!

Other performance modifications: full Janspeed exhaust system, K&N filter, Jamex lowered suspension 60mm, poly brushes, front upper strut brace, quick shift gear selector (can easily be taken off if needed), remote cat1 immobiliser/alarm, electric front windows.

The car looks standard, apart from subtle lowering, but it has very fast indeed. previous owner told me he rolling roaded it and it was 150bhp. I have no doubt to the validity of this, as it is a hell of a lot faster than my G40 or MK2 Golf GTI 16V.

So, i was thinking of putting this on Pistonheads for 3k ovno. However, i really need to sell. I will take offers over 2.5k for a rapid sale. Grab a bargin as in this condition its worth 3-4k easy.
