Flash Red 1994 Mk3 Golf 2.0i Avantgarde cabriolet

Featured Replies

Hi, for sale here is my '94 golf cabrio which I bought as a runaround for my sister. It's up for sale as my niece's new buggy was too long to fit in the boot, so I ended up using it as a runaround after my Jetta died 2wks ago.

I bought it as my sis loved the colour, power soft top, & ability to drop all the windows electrically from the drivers seat. Thinking she would probably keep it for a while I fitted the mk4 style headlights, crystal front indicators & smoked side indicators (over £250 worth in total!) to freshen the front end up. I also changed the cam belt for peace of mind (plus if it broke I'd be the one who'd have to fix it!).

The previous owners had a new clutch fitted & oil change done just before I bought it so there's no work required, just pick up the keys, drop the hood & enjoy the miles. The only thing I would change if I were to keep it are the wheels, as they're a bit small (14") & the paint is beginning to bubble on them.

It's a really nice car, gets loads of looks, drives great with the 2.0i (same as GTi) engine providing some decent poke. You have to appreciate though that it IS 14yrs old so isn't completely immaculate with the odd parking dink & stone chip here & there (i.e. not concours). If I didn't already have too many cars I would keep it as a sunday car for having a quick roof-down blast in the countryside - it IS as good as it looks in the pics!

The previous owner also fitted a really nice Kenwood iPod compatible cd head unit, complete with iPod connection cable.

The car has 10months MOT, 6months tax, & has done 136k miles

I think that's about it, but if you'd like to know more about the car or arrange a viewing you can reach me on 07808 775130 or PM me & I'll hit you back soon as.

cheers,

Ben
