Don't suppose anybody knows of insurance companies that are pretty cheap for 17yr olds, i cant find anything under £1400 at all!

if u can go no where else dont go with direct line

insurance at 17's a killer, companies just dont want to insure young drivers...especially driving vw's, seems to be right high to insure a VW.

i went on ma mums insurance 1st year. 900 odd quid on a breadvan mk3 polo. sadly you dont get your 1st years no claims.

it ul cost you the next year if you start your own policy not having that 1st years ncb, but you either pay the price young, so its cheaper next year, or go cheap this year and pay the price next year.

Or just stay as a named driver for a few years with somewhere like CIS, earn named driver NCD (you have to stay with them though for them to be valid) and it all stays cheap. When I turned 21, I started my own policy with 1 NCD, and a fault crash. Paying £580 ish (can't remember exact) for the year fully comp.

And thats the most expensive insurance I've had the past couple of years!

i cant get insured on my mk2 coupe s for less than £2204 !!!

2 grand CIS on a mk3 as named driver fully comp. was the cheapest i could get as they wanted 3-4 grand by myself.

Sometimes when I've looked there was a 1000 pound difference between 1L and my 1.3L

2200 is the cheapist quote iv had. That was a 1 ltr as well! Going on my uncles traders policy hopefully

quinn wanted more for a 1.0cl than they did a 1.4cl?! now thats not even funny... lol

never paid more then a grand for any insurance !!

If u think u have problem I'm 17 with 3 points, but more to the point direct line were good being i was bein quoted for well over £2000 for a 1l tpft and they wanted £1750, yeah bet that £1400 sounds alot better than you think now but agen back to the direct line

i would advise taking pass plus the savings u will make with any insurance company will more than cover the cost of taking the course

sometimes even £200 spent on the course = £600 - £700 in savings

I think it depends what insurer is cheaper for you

Admiral would be hardly any cheaper for me if I had done Pass Plus

i got quoted 2300 on a 1.4 mk 4 nt passed yt so gna look for some one cheaper
