Hi all, since I'm breaking up my Jetta I no longer need these wheels. I bought them brand new from VW in November & had brand new toyos fitted all round. The total amount came to £138.24 (still have receipt if you want it) for the wheels, centre caps & nut covers. The tyres cost me another £218.60 on top, so I had a total outlay of just over £350. The wheels are still mint as you can see from the pics below, & have only covered about 4000miles since new. I'm tempted to keep them, but am trying to break my parts-hoarding habit so please take them off my hands before I change my mind!

I'm based in Littlehampton & don't have time to mess about with postage, so collection only please (tho delivery could be arranged within reason). Am also breaking my g60 jetta if anybody needs any other bits :-D

Postage wise, you can either use a company off Ebay who'll charge you about £35 or you can send hem via interparcel on their DHL 2-5 day service at £7 a wheel. If the max. weight isn't too much then you can put 2 together and save a bit there. HTH

How much does one wheel weigh? a 16" Avus S2 with 205/55R16 tyre was 18.5Kg and I sent that about a month ago with Interparcel.

I think the main problem with the S2 was the styling was just too bland. It's a shame Audi weren't a bit more adventurous & distinguished the S2 from the normal coupe, like the quttro turbos were compared to the contemporary coupes.

Thanks re the quat; it gets loads of looks everywhere I go, & people tend to let me out at junctions in it more than the golfs etc. It used to be great , then it blew up a few times, lunched a gearbox, & finally started to bubble up with rust in various places. It's now in manymany bits waiting for me to paint all the bolt-on panels & finish welding up the floor pans (spent today & yesterday making a new rear valence :p). When that's all done I shall be back to hooning about in a sideways-fashion & taking the local scooby population back to skool. Yeah, you know what I mean...

I had a guy asking me about the wheels tonight when he was over picking up some other bits, but he didn't give me anything concrete to go on. Chances are I'll still have them for a few weeks so let me know when you've got your car home. Plus, if I sell them to you you can take me for a spin in the S2 :-D

Check out www.S2Forum.com, we'd love to have you aboard even if you're missing a few valves The S2 is completely understated but then it fits the era it was released into, look at the E30 vs. E36 M3s, same story. I just get looks of utter confiusion when I give a new Porsche or Scooby a run for its money, hilarious. An then there's the DV noise that people can't quite understand when you go past at full pelt. Never ceases to amuse!

Hope you get the MB back together, stick a 3B in it whilst you're there. THe original quattro 'boxes are strong as hell so no need to worry there.

Afraid I'd be after the wheels posted as Bristol to Sussex at 20mpg is going to cost a fortune

Dude, 10V is precisely the correct number - got a high-lift cam in there & it sounds like a big speedboat at idle! The 20V motors noise just isn't the same as the 10V - a bit like the 30%-less-fat version of the 10V motors. Much easier to tune tho, as ye knoweth. Speaking of 3Bs, I need a rear subframe from one so I can stick an anti roll bar on the back (if you know of any let me know).

Dunno if you've seen it, but I've been checking out gnutz's mk2 golf/S2 hybrid in the project section on s2forum for about 8months now, gotta give that guy some respect. That project has made it hard to decide what to do with my own mk2 golf..!

If you ever want a trick ali sheetmetal inlet manifold made let me know - was supposed to make one for Aelred but he never got back to me to say what he wanted, so I've got a set of velocity stacks & a nice CNC machined manifold-to-head flange sitting here gathering dust (courtesy of Aelred!). I think he probably forgot he gave them to me!
