hi have been trying to find a cheap debadged grille, thought i hadfound one until mr ebay refunded me as he was 'out of stock' had bought the slatedtype but am now unsure if i want that or the honeycomb.

any suggestions on which to opt for and where to get a nice cheap one please let me know :) pics welcome tooo :)

it doesent say how i did it i dont think but i cut a std grille up cutting the badge of the slats ot just cutting it around the badge then got a debadged one and cut a round jhole in that for the new badge to sit in thenm i plastic welded it in abit of filler and satin paint and the jobs a goodun'

polomon u really are a clean freak, in the best possible way obviously....wish i had the spare time and determination to do it to mine! think am gona leave the custom grille to you tho...wudnt wanto upstage you :-p lol

have managed topic myeself a new slatted grille, thanx for the help people and polomon you keep that car immaculate...til u drive it :p

hahaha, started driving it abit more now, on private land ofcourse... and tbh, its making me want to clean it more, but I'm sure once its lowered you wont see in the arches or the floro so i wont be bothering :lol:

will do it here give me abit fo time to write it up then u moanin sod :lol: :p

1. i cut a std grille up cutting the badge of the slats! not just cutting it around the badge so the are for the badge to stick to was greater than just the odd slatt also its easier welding to a oval than thin slats i found.

2.then got a debadged one, plced the cut out oval on th edebadged grille and cut a round hole in that for the new badge to sit in

3.then i plastic welded it in square and with plastic from the std grille i cut up (melted bits in) all i used to plastic weld was a soldering iron and a knife.

4. i coated it in filler and sanded that back

5. i applied a coat of high build then sanded it back

6. then i applied a few coats of plastic primer and sanded that smoothish.

7. then top coat of satin black.

sorry I'm not sure what else to put as above is all i did! :lol: i do hav e the odd pic though i will put up:

no probs mate, BUT if you do encouter any probs (i doubt) just pm me :D when i cut the badge out of the gril i just used a stanley knife and spent a couple of hours doing it so be patient :nod::o:lol:

Did you do the plastic welding yourself??
