Without using a stanley knife!

For the quarterlights i have always removed the front windows first, but it *may* be possible to do it without that, I'm not sure. Door card has to come off, from what i remember, then theres a screw at the top and bottom of that metal bar that seperates the quarterlight from the front window. Once you've removed this (which i think the bigger glass has to be removed in order for you to do this) the quarterlight just pulls out.

Naaah it's not that hard!

Just wind the window down, pop the bottom seal out, undo the screw and wiggle it about!

I got one out and another one back in again without taking the window out or door card off, so it's perfectly possible. You might need to pull the mirror off though to help get the seal back in properly.

Ah ok.. can I not just wind them down in order to gain access?

Thanks for the replies guys... is it even worth me keeping them thou? (off the red Gt I'm breaking).. someone told me vw charge more for these than any other window on the polos as these are the most likely to get broken in the event off someone breaking in.. is there truth to this??

Are they green tinted? If so, definately keep them. If not, I'm not so sure. I had a big chip right in the line of my mirror on one of mine so I replaced it, only cost me a fiver from a local vehicle dismantlers. Would probably have been free if I took it off myself at a proper scrappy

I've kept a pair as they often get smashed when people break in, just handy to keep a spare around.

Yeah sod it, might as well keep them as they're there. better to have and not need I suppose
