as title says i have a g40 engine for sale everything is their except the supercharger and intercooler. the engine has covered 125000 miles but is in really good running order.

whats included in the sale

g40 engine including de wedged throttle body,gt inlet,starter alternator {g40 one},dizzy{g40 one},nealy new plugs {the right ones} new blue temp sender new rotor are new dizzy cap, new water pump new cam belt only done 2000 miles since it was changed,engine bay wiring loom,gt gearbox and drive shafts all water pipes all of fuel side of things.ecu with a jabba sport chip to run 65 mm pully and the 3 pullys to run the charger.

i,ve looked after this engine very well in the 4 years i,ve had it and am only selling it as i,ve bought an ex cup car engine the oil has been changed every 3 thousand miles the only thing wrong with it is its got a leaky sump gasket but i have a new gasket for it and i,ll get it changed before i sell it.

now then i want peoples opinions on how much this is worth am i better selling it as a whole or spliting it i think its worth more split up to be honest what do you think??? pm me if you would be interested in anything

easily £1k. Not quite sure if it would make more because of lack of charger

me and my friend picked a full g40 engine a couple weeks back with everything just had no history and had done 90k my mate bought it for £850.

to say you have a gt gearbox and no charger that reduces the price alot

yeah thats right but lets be honest how often do you drive at more than 125 miles an hour?

Trust me a GT box on a G40 is useless. My original G had a GT box on it. It would spin the wheels in all gears and top out at 105mph! Used to constantly hit the rev limiter aswell. I would say with no charger and GT box you would be looking at 5-600 quid!

105 my gt used to top out at 125

GT box's aren't that bad on G40's just not ideal. I ran a GT box on my Turbo and it gave interesting results, in some situations probably better than an ATV...

i managed to get my gt box to take me to 135ish give or take 5mph on the tomtom.

How is the engine going steve? Any vids?

alright mate the engine is fine except i keep melting belts as the eaton pully is getting hot. what boost did you get out of it? I'm getting 17psi at the mo and its evil lol

i got 22psi.

i melted a couple of belts but it was because the belt was out of line.

is it all running dead straight now?

i had heard that ally pulleys retained heat, try ducting a cold air feed towards it?

i can only get 17psi out o it cant get the belts any tighter. yeah all running straight so I'm using the 6 rib belt as well but still cant get it anywhere near 22psi its mad enough as it is though the lsd i had fitted is so good though it gives the car so much more grip i cant get it to wheel spin at all lol

now open to offers on this little lot as i need it gone asap i may alos be able to help with transport for the petrol fee as i travel about quite abit.

i installed a GT box on my m8's G40 witch i borrow to drive to work and take for a spin all the time because i work on it for him all the time.

when driving i some times forget its even a gt box does not spin when heavy accelerating that bad and thats with standard skinny steels. 165ish bhp g40 btw.
