I worked in a small fishing town on the coast last week named Kilkeel....real nice place....bur whilst there i noticed the following...

Everybody literally drives S-Line varients of most Audi cars....AC SCHNITZER kitted BMW's or just smartened up cars in general...nearly everybody that owned a VAG car has either S8,RS4 or RS6 wheels on them....and i mean like more than 30 cars not just a couple....I actually got bored of seeing M badges on Ze Bimma's aswell!!!

How is this all possible...is stuff cheaper???

Also sooooooo many plates had this sort of 'funkier' font on the plates..and they looked like they came from the dealers like that??

Lots of people just buy the m badges and kit up standard beemers to look like the sports models, same for s line audis. But yes the s lines and bm's are very popular over here, big diesel saloons are very common. Did you not notice that there are millions of passats and boras? also diesel mercs... Diesel is definitely the most popular over here, especially amongst people who are likely to do their car up. Its all about toledos, boras and leons in the modding scene. Basically a young fella here will buy a diesel bora or toledo or leon and remap it, and his oul da will likely drive a diesel passat or bm or audi. So basically everyone is in these big diesel cars, starting with something like a bora and getting bigger/more expensive as you get older.

Diesel is probly v popular over here cos you can go over the borded to the south and get it cheap. Or a lot of people run on red, there isnt that much dippin over here. Also the insurance is well cheaper on a diesel.

Also, noone is very original over here so all the fellas who buy a bora or passat or audi just automatically stick a set of either rs4 or rs6s on lol. Your lucky you avoided overexposure to "felt spec" cars tbh your head wouldve been wrecked.

Nothings cheaper btw. If anything dearer cos of shipping.

'Felt Spec'????

If you mean boy racer types there was loads....shocking corsa's to max power clio's etc....

I did see one really nice Bora...and it was a diesel...it drove past me again...and again...again...again....lol

what about said plates???

Yeah mate as said above, Boras, Leons, toledeos and golfs are as common as muck over here and most of them have rs6's on them, And if anything it is more expensive over here. What do you mean about the plates?? :-)

The font is like slightly italic and seems to have squarer letters and numbers.....seen it on bog standard cars aswell as the modded ones.

There not legal as far as i know mate, but the police dnt really pull you unless you cant really read the plate

yeah its just your normal sort of fancy font, but everyone gets fancy plates over here even if they do nothing else to the car.

"felt spec" is basically a style of modding, very shit and chavvy, called felt spec after magherafelt where every car is like that.

basically, a bora, toledo etc tdi, screwed out with a straight pipe throwing a tonne of reek out the back, huge sideskirts but no other bodykit parts, rs6/rs4 etc rims, all windows totally blacked out and a huge sunstrip, and the back of the car dragging on the floor cos its lowered much further than the front.
