Iv seen a few women who drive with little dogs on their laps while driving. what do people think of this?

I suppose its ok, but they can easily get distracted while driving. But looks a bit silly as well? Is it a Britney Spears trend or summink?

My dog has her own seatbelt but she prefers to just sit still on the pass seat or stick her head out the window anyway.

yet driving with a dog just sat in a seat is perfectly ok? any one that does that is a bit of a idiot in my opinion. its dangerous on so many levels (dogs don't know not to jump on your lap while your driving, they don't know not to try and get a fuss off you while your driving and they don't know not to do a piss on your passenger seat while your driving). but above all what if you crash? theres gonna be a dog bouncing around inside that car like a fucking pinball with the weight of a big sheep.

I'll happy have my brother's mini staff or charlie's westy sat loose on the passenger seat, because they know how to behave. Likewise, mine's too big for the passenger seat, but he'll happily lay on the back seat of the Camry until I let him out.

Cats are wankers. And yeah,like Mouse said - a dog on the back seat will become a charging elephant,possibly crushing you and/or your passenger to death,if you have a crash. Strap it,or put it in the boot behind a dog guard. Having a dog on your lap can result in a charge of 'death by/driving without due care',and a long prison sentence in the worst case. And so it should.

I think it's totally ridiculous that they let their dogs on their laps when they are driving. However, on the occurance of a crash, the resulting chest-dog-steering wheel sandwich may be a bit messy, but it would mean that the daft bitch wouldv'e killed her own pooch! That's poetic justice.

dogs can be trained fair point, but all it takes is a moment of madness and a dog can freak out, dolphins are one of the most intelligent animals on this planet (far more so than a dog), but a submarine fires off a shot and 26 of the fuckers jump out the sea and kill them selfs.

there is only 2 ways to definatly make sure they don't freak out and course an accident and they have been pointed out above. just cause you teach a dog to give you its pow don't mean it won't jump on your lap while your driving.
